Question Proxy re-alignement

I know this type of thing has come up before, but I cant find anything in relation to my specific query - if it is a duplicate I apolgise.

The mileage sometimes flashes on my 4 month old Stilo MJET, but its fairly intermittent - more often than not its fine, its just an occasional thing.

If I take it back to Fiat to have the re-alignement carried out, would the process detect or perhaps even erase a re-map I've had done?

Again - apologies if its been asked before.

Re: Proxy re-alignement

All proxy alignment is for is to sychronize all the modules/nodes to the 'same time' so to speak. It will not detect nor is it intended to detect a remap, theres other ways of doing that

If you hear the words "ECU update" from your dealer then be worried as I think that is the only way it can be erased.

Couple of members got caught that way I seem to remember.
