Dampers

My car is lowered 35mm and now my shocks are leaking (all four) so I've ordered new ones, should be taking delivery of my new Cobra dampers next week Anyone had this fitted to a stilo? I was going to go for Eibach prodrive dampers as I think I would have got a much smoother ride, but my order came back to me, coz Eibach in Germany said that the dampers don't fit the 2.4 Abarth models as they have a different damper setup the the rest of the range. So I got Crobra ones insted, a bit firmer than Eibach prodrive, but they should handle better I think

Cool Re: Dampers

You have gone in the right direction with the dampers [not talking about a particular make] but more to the fact that as I have always maintained that stock dampers will not take the extra punishment when a car is lowered .. the dampers are only living on borrowed time. For those who cant afford the cobra dampers [which are very good ] then FK do a sports front shock for less than the price of OE shock so you don't have to worry to much about the cost if you are forced into replacment of leaking shocks...also Gaz shock also do a very reasonable sports shock which also has the option of ride adjustment and these are available in front and rear applications

Re: Dampers

I would suggest that if anyone is going to lower their car replace the dampers to.
COBRA, so they are good then I hope I still get good ride quality. I guess i just have to wait an see, getting them fitted in a few weeks

Your ride will be a little harder but shouldnt be so hard that its uncomfortable youve only got yours lowered 35mm and thts not so bad as say -50 now thats hard on the arse and if used with stock shock the poor buggers are really taking a pounding
