weird "liquid" noise at tick over

looks like my honeymoon period is over!

noticed a noise a bit like liquid flowing under my right foot while waiting at a junction today. when i got out i couldn't hear it, but can hear it with my ear my the throttle pedal at tickover. have been monitoring all day, it comes and goes...

answers on a postcard please...

Possibly sounds like coolant running through the heater matrix. Can't tell you a definate answer without hearing it.

sounds like the above answer to me too. I renewed my coolant yesterday, and i also can hear that noise, but that means that the coolant system is not full with water, so if i was you i would check your expansion tank after the car has been resting for a good few hours.... it will probably be empty!

The only other time i have heard that noise is when i first drive away from my house in the morning, and its been raining all night, there will be alot of water in the gulleyway behind the engine, that will just run off when you go round a bend....
