(T) Heard a bing.

Got into my car the other day, started it up. Was reaching behind for the seatbelt and..

Bing....

My initial thoughts were 'oh no airbag error', 'engine management problem', 'ABS issue' etc..etc.

Display didn't warn me of anything. Carried on driving and reached destination.

Got back in for my return leg and started car.

Bing....

At this point I looked at the display only to find that all the car was telling me 'Ice warning'......Phew...Imagine my relief!!

Has this caught anyone else out? Maybe I'm just a paranoid dumbass.

Oh yeah, that one gets me all the time, particularly when I'm ripping it up the motorway in the morning and I hear bing. It must be a Jaded Stilo owner thing, but you have the feeling it's the ice warning, but you just don't want to look just incase your about to find out that you are going to be heading for your local dealers.

The relief that comes with the little digital snow flake is very welcome indeed! I'd rather hit black ice than see another error message on that screen Going by the problems i've had recently, I'd have more chance of coming out alive hitting black ice at 80.

I wish they'd give the bings a few different tones.

Happy Tone: "Hey, your going to need petrol soon", "Ice Warning - put your jumper on it's a bit cold", "You forgot to put your seatbelt on", "you're driving with the handbrake on a$$Hole".

Angry Tone: "Hey Your Going To The Dealer Because I just felt like triggering some random error message because one of the stupid sensors that i really don't need that much has decided to flake out because it's a bit wet outside, get your credit card ready, your hiring a car for a week because the dealer never has any loaners"...Basically anything potentially serious in the system.
