Display

Yes me again. i cannot find in my handbook why the display shows the below all the time

H 23 miles

The 'H' is not mentioned anywhere, it is exactly as above with the spaces then the miles, the H is always there...any ideas?

Thanks again.

Anyone know what this H is? I've scanned 250 pages of manual! Is it something obvious?

Thanks

I'll have a stab at it, I havent seen that error in my stilo's display but it just could be an LCD failure or even software corruption.

I did have a scan through the manual earlier and unless I missed anything, their is no mention of any characters on the display in a H format.

I definatly would suspect a LCD fault in displaying characters at that position on the display.

You are probably right as theres no other explanation for an H where the 1 of 100000 miles would be!

Can this be solved easily or will it result in the whole dash coming out to replace the LCD display?

Just another wild guess but it`s not something to do with the hour reading on your clock? I can`t think of anything else it could be....better take it to your Dealers.

If its a software issue and the display is adding a rogue character in that position then I would think they will just plug in diagnostics and change or re-install software ( can they do that? )

or if its the LCD display itself that has faulty crystals then dash out I'm afraid :(

but get it back to your dealer ASAP to have them sort it out.

Great new car already on its way back! The H is only there on the mileage display when entering mode it goes. Only returns on normal drive display so its rogue, I hope they don't have to remove dash it'll never be the same again!

I'm taking it in there tomorrow lunchtime, not booked in or anything, I presume they may do nothing & make me book it in?
