Paddle + broke of, need help taking steering wheel apart

Hi,

A while back my + paddle broke of, I finally bit the bullet and bought it from FIAT, £130 !!!!!!!!!
Nevertheless, I have taken the old broken one of however the little grey cable that sends signals to the controller goes right deep into the steering wheel and I need to get in there. Does anybody out there know how I can do this. I've looked carefully and the only way to change it would be by taking the wheel apart, with that said I don't want to set the air bag of.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU TAKE THE STEERING WHEEL APART ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove minus lead from battery with key removed , wait for 10 minutes.
Then remove the 3 hex screws at the back of the steering wheel , take care not to drop the airbag when the last screw comes loose.
airbag is connected with two yellow cables with flat connectors, pry out the plastic tab in the middle of both connectors and pull them out of the back of the airbag.
Maybe it isn't even nessesary to loosen the connectors if you have enough working space to remove your paddle cable.
Mount everything in reverse order with key still removed, after connecting battery insert key , adjust clock and everything should be o.k.
