SkyWindow

Hi,
I have a Fiat Stilo JTD. I had no enough money to buy the skywindow.
Does anybody know if I can buy it now?

It would be major surgery to the roof of your car so I would be very suprised if you could get one fitted. Mind you, I guess you'd be able to have a standard sunroof fitted by a specialist company.

standard sunroof would be no problem but to get the skywindow fitted would cost way more than originally when it was an option, put the money towards a new/replacement motor

Forget about that.
It`ll cost a small fortune to wiring, cutting, fitting, parts etc.
I`m the kind of guy that will not take easily no for an answer, but I will pass for that kind of project...

No way, you would be cheaper trading in for a stilo with sky window, there's 500 quids worth of ecus in the roof on it's own and it's wired in to the can network to get a speedo signal to calculate the effort required to close the glass at diffrent speeds.

cutting the whole roof to fit skywindow at that size ... you must be nuts if you seriously think to do that ...better brake all the windows if you want fresh air :-)

I meant the roof would have to be strengthened to cope with the skyroof..........

OK then lads, we'll have a clean fight with no hair pulling...:p

Never really been a fan of the skywindow myself - probably makes perfect sense in a warm country but in the UK it's just another thing that can spring a leak!!

the skyroof is the must-have thing in the stilo. it's fantastic! seeing as? Fiat hadn't mastered a 2x1 sunroof by 1999, i don't have much confidence in this massive complicated thing!

I just love my Skywindow and it turns quite a few heads when its fully open.

However, I did have a lucky escape one early morning when the unlock key must have been pressed in my trouser pocket. I opened my front door to my house only to find the car windows down and the roof fully open! [:0]

Thank God it wasn't raining!
