Brembo discs

Well finally found a set of discs I liked for my Abarth...

Brembo drilled sport dics for £166.99 delivered....

seemed a good deal so I went for it. Good as thier word they were deliverd within 24hours BUT they are the wrong discs rigth size and everything but 5 stud

Just waiting for them to get back to me now with a resolution....

update: just had a call back telling me 'they must be 4 stud - just try fitting them!' do they think I'm thick or something? arrrggghhhh!!!!

update2: another call - 'please chack that the 5 holes you see are evenly spaced in a pentagon - we think you are counting the locating hole!' - arrrggghhhhh!!! after a few harsh words they are now admitting that the wrong disca 'may' be in the box but will not issue the correct ones until they havce recieved these back and checked I can count!!!!

update3: another call - they don't have any more discs in stock.... they will arrange return but suggest i try buying some from a chav motorbling type shop!!!!

Re: Brembo discs

Aarghhhhhhhh indeedy.

Why do they try and make it so hard - now becomes more hassle, wrapping them back up, getting to a post office, etc.

Re: Brembo discs

OK - name and shame time!

www.potn.com - avoid!!!

they are now saying it will take 2 week until Brembo has the discs available...

alternative is to order a different type of disc but they will need a seperate payment! and worst still they will not refund my money until they have recieved the orginal discs back, using their return system that is going to take about 2 weeks!! Arrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

now contacting Brembo UK to try and growl at people until I get what I want!

Re: Brembo discs

snot-a-grams sent direct to Brembo and to AP Racing (who apparently make Brembo discs for the UK market). Also contacted Motorsportworld to see if they could help - but they are £ 17.30 more expensive

just have to wait and see...

Cool Re: Brembo discs

Was there any particular reason you went for the Brembo over another make ?

Re: Brembo discs

because they are damn good discs and at £166.99 delivered they seemed a good deal! (black diamond discs would come in at £173.67 (or £158.77 for drilled only) or EBC at £162.31 - inc VAT and delivery)

will be using mintex pads for now (£32) but may use Brembo pads at a later date if the Mintex ones don't cut the mustard (brembo pads are £104 a set!!!!)

Cool Re: Brembo discs

There are some of us Stilo owners that have used the EBC Turbo grooved and dimpled and green stuff pads and find then very efficient and I have also fitted grooved and drilled to the rear

Re: Brembo discs

Have heard mixed reports on EBC - some say they are the dogs danglies and other that they are really noisy and the discs wear very quickly....

Given that my standard discs are shot after 2.5 years I think I need some that will last....

But as you say they are probably fine. I'm just locked into this company now and can't get my money back for a couple of weeks.... grrrrr!

Re: Brembo discs

I F****ing believ it!

Just recieved the Pads through the post (different supplier)

came loose in a plastic bag with a torn mintex cardboard box that was too small to hold them. closer inspection shows no Mintex markings and the inncorrect part number. I am currently waiting for Mintex to get back to me to confirm if these are cheap knock off's!

name and shame time again! www.atozmotorspares.co.uk - avoid like the plague!

I haven't contacted the supplier yet because, if they are fake, I will be contacting via trading standards/Visa and if poss the police..

The pathways of my life are strewn with cowpats from the Devils own satanic herd!
