Olds Dorch? Where abouts are you Danomite?

Olds seem OK, but quite pricey. The idiots also used an impact wrench to put my wheels back on. Couldn't get the bolts out even with a breaker bar.

I'm in Yeovil, Somerset. approx 20 miles from dorchester!.. Yep bit expensive,.. invoice was more than the £395 quoted! when questioned, they said they would give me a 10% discount! but still charged £13.40 to screw in a new aerial!

That's surprising, they're not usually that bad.

Re: Stilo Servicing - the highs and lows

I've just booked my '04 2.4 Selespeed in for its 36k mile service, at Sidwell motor company in Exeter, Devon (I need to update my location). They've quoted me £407 as the basic service cost. The warrenty is just about up on it now, but I'm going to grin and bear the cost for this service before re-thinking my strategy in the future!

Re: Stilo Servicing - the highs and lows

  • Multiwagon 1.9 JTD115
  • 2yr/24k (completed at 17000)
  • Research Garage, Nuneaton
  • Main Fiat Agent?
  • November 2007
  • £245
  • Nothing extra - just the usual run of the mill service
One question I have is how can they charge £245 for a 2nd year service but when its over 3 it goes to £189 for the same? I'm doing my own from now on!

depends if it needs plugs/filters etc at that particular service, therefore 3rd service might be cheaper than second because second has plugs, air filter or fuel filter etc

Re: Stilo Servicing - the highs and lows

In currently at 58,500 - is there a service at 60k? At a quick glance ive seen mention of 48k and 72k but not 60.

Re: Stilo Servicing - the highs and lows

When I recently had the passenger seat OCS pad replaced I noticed that the FiatCare leaflet had been reprinted (different appearance) and thought prices may have gone up... however Gold Service on the JTD now 159 quid, same as Petrol.

Service advisor explained that its because Glow Plugs now omitted from the Gold Service for Diesels, as these aren't really a service item required every service.

Great... unfortunately the list of misc. jobs like timing belt, which mine will need next service in few months / 5.8K, have disappeared from the back of the leaflet! Timing Belt was listed on the old leaflet at 150 quid... do wonder what I should expect to pay now for my new timing belt!
