Reverse parking sensors.

Hi guys aint posted in a while but still got one annoying fault with the abarth. The gearbox is all running perfect after the big rebuilt and had no more odd errors on the dash, the only thing thats annoying me is PARKING SENSOR FAILURE.does anyone know if it can be turned off,ie the warning on the dash and the big yellow sign.I tried cleaning sensors had wires checked and everythin still doesnt work, just says failure and beeps really annoyingly when you put it reverse.Apparently its not covered under warranty and the sensors are 50 quid each, dunno if its even them that thave gone.I can live without the sensors as ive had no real problem using mirrors b4(lol).Thanks Anthem

Re: Reverse parking sensors.

Thanks but already tried that,we even took the bumper off completely and cleaned each sensor and connector individually, made sure all connections were nice and tidy too, just cant work out what it is,must be a dodgy sensor, but which one,and i dont really wanna fork out 50 quid for nowt.Would be so much better if i could just disable the sensor system completely, but without any warnings flashing away, cheers anthem.

Re: Reverse parking sensors.

Sensors only £32,sounds like a sensor fault(do reverse lights work by the way)as quite common to go o.c./s.c. worth fixing for when you sell the car?

Re: Reverse parking sensors.

I had a spate recently of having 'Parking Sensor' failure every morning, as I reversed in my driveway - but once I got to the multi-story 22 miles later, everything was fine
