Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

Unless anythings happened in the last few months 1.6 is generally a no no for engine tuning

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

I thought Angel and/or GSR had 1.6 options now?

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

Yeah Angel do it now, same price as for my 1.8, £240. 1.6 has a +11bhp gain.

Steve, go to www.angeltuning.co.uk, I'm very tempted to get mine done TBH.

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

I stand corrected Although personally for that kind of money 11bhp just makes me wonder if its really worth it

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

Yeah true matt, although its supposed to remove the flatspots too which can be quite noticable at times. Also obviously 0-60 goes down too. I dunno, maybe if i come into some money . . .

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

My cars too low to drive fast anyway, so i'll leave it to the raw brute power of the standard 1.6 to propel me

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

GSR, do the remap and can do Rolling road sessions aswell to show you the gains, etc... asways nice to have a print out to prove it

The guy who runs GSR on here is oldschool (pete), maybe try and drop him a PM!

although it is advised that bcos you car a non turbo tht you really need an induction kit as the two work in par together.... and then to go with the induction kit, a nice full exhaust system and then if you want to go even further how about a manifold/sports cat and some cam shafts

@ oldschool - pete how is the software coming along? Didnt know if you are ready for me remap yet or have you been to busy

Fuel consumption is not getting any worse. Map without modifications will be 8% power increase and 10-12% torque.

Just to quote a PM from Peter a while back... this is in response to the "i'm really interested about this remap you can do..."

Re: 1.6 ECU Remap

We can do now all Stilos. Presently we prepare maps for the standard car and as soon as we have the induction kits ready the relevant maps will be done too.
