Damn Stilo Electrics

Ok changed my bulbs in the car today to my xenon upgrade bulbs which are alot of dosh (can't remember how much) but i got them all headlights, main beam and fog lights. My drivers side Main Beam bulb was blown, put the new bulb in and guess wat it ****ing blew that an all. To say am pissed off is an understatement, was a waste of time and money and now having to go book it into Fiat to get the damned thing checked which means taking a day off work cos i can't do without the car at all due to my work. And then having to go to the hassle of ordering another bulb. So annoyed and raging!!!

Re: Damn Stilo Electrics

All cars are capable of shorts (not just stilos) get your multimeter out & trace the fault, few simple voltage drop tests should have it sussed in no time

Re: Damn Stilo Electrics

Don't have the time to sit and do that am afraid plus it's under warranty so fiat can do it. I know all cars are capable of it but it's funny how it's blown two bulbs especially one brand new one and it's happening to my mate, every new bulb he puts into his blows. Mines is also telling me Bulb Failure at both sides when all bulbs are working bar the main beam on drivers side

Re: Damn Stilo Electrics

If there's a short a fuse should go, not the bulb. If the bulb goes -it's a power problem i.e. mismatched or dodgy bulb

Has the fuse blown? Can only go on info supplied,Juego not got back to say what bulbs(wattage)were fitted which is probably why the bulb failure light is always on.Think stilo headlights are ok as standard, damn sight better than mk1 punto....then again so is a candle
