Re: After market Cruise control

That looks very tempting but the problem is that as far as i can see in the picture the lights stalk hasn't got an auto position which i need...

Does anybody know the part number for this piece (composed of both cruise control and lights stalk) keeping in mind that i have auto lights???

Re: After market Cruise control

As far as i have been told the light and cruise control stalks are joined together at the base... is this correct???? I'm sure somebody here will be able to enlighten me!!!!

EDIT; i just emailed the ebay guy and he says that lights and cruise control stalk are separate, is this true??? If so how is the cruise control held onto the stearing column??? I don't see any extra holes for screws....

You have to get another bottom column cover, which has 2 holes (one for the lights and one for the cruise control). It costs about 20€ in Greece.

Re: After market Cruise control

But the stalk isn't atatched to the cover though is it??? You need a new bottom cover (or cut out the old one) to let the stalk through but how is the stalk held to the stearing column???? which brings me back to my original question;
is the lights and cruise control stal one or are they separate??

Re: After market Cruise control

Cruise control is separate!

TBH, I hardly ever use it, but that may be down to roads I drive on! Sometimes, on empty bits of motorway I may have a play

Hey bradleyp, sorry I haven't responded sooner. If you still need it, the part number for your stalk controls + cruise is 735368252

Re: After market Cruise control

My business partner has a Stilo also.

His car is fitted with Cruise control, (Active) I think its a stange import EU spec or something from JamJar.com

I'm pretty sure I could remove the cruise control and stick it in mine, the car company would never no as it was never listed as a feature etc.

His car contract expires in Jan,

How easy would it be to swap the bits around from both cars?

Re: After market Cruise control

Ok I also thought about this, but stalk and cover would come to about £200. Bloody irritating since I had a new set of stalks put on the car under warranty a few months ago, should have asked for the cruise control ones (think they are the same price!) DRAT!

EDIT: Oh and Chris, to remove it (I can check eLEARN when I get home, dossing at Uni at the mo (skipped a lecture )), you have to remove the battery to deactivate AirBag system, remove steering wheel & cowls, take off switch unit and replace.

Re: After market Cruise control

I'd actually almost be willing to spend 200 to get the cruise control in (i'm sure you'll pay twice as much at the dealers when buying new!!) but it's just that until somebody finds out if it really does work i don't want to risk it!!!
