Eibach springs problems??!

Hi... just been on holiday to sunny ibiza! And got back today and my old man had fitted my suspension kit, the pro version which lowers it around something like 30mm? after looking i though it was rather high and measured the gap in between the tyre and wheel arch and found it was sitting nearly an inch higher than are other stilo with the standard suspension?! The old guy recon's it because it had been jacked up a few days ago and not moved since! But after taking in for abit of rigorous driving the handle is absolutly sh*t and the car is sitting slightly higher at the front than the back?! And the suspension feels atrocious?? The old guy use to be a mechanic so he does now abit about what he is doing! But he has never fitted modifications; just standard replacements... ...is there something he hasnt done/missed out! Really gota get this sorted as i cant be driving it like this to work on monday? Lets hope it not raining tommorra!!! Cant understand how a lowering kit can make the car sit higher.. bit of reverse effect

and one with any ideas please help me

Re: Eibach springs problems??!

think you might have to remove one and compare them to the OE springs. sounds like the springs are too long, perhaps your supplier sent the wrong ones as i cant really thing why else it wouldbe so much higher unless theres something stopping the springs seating properly?

Did he take out the old springs first? Sorry, stoopid!

Seriously though, when he jacked the car up are you sure nothing was damaged?

Re: Eibach springs problems??!

When the shop fitted my springs, the first set that was sent were to long also and they had to order a different style May have the same problem. Ask if there's an alternative ?

Re: Eibach springs problems??!

Even if they send you standard ones, how could it then sit higher that originally? Makes no sence! Unless they sent you entirely the wrong ones, not even for Fiat?
