Loose Roof Lining

I've been trying to cure an annoying chirrupping noise from the left parcel shelf area, and I noticed that all the roof lining and side pieces were loose and flopping about!

I managed to clip most of it back into place last night, and thought that would be cause of the noise.

Wrong, it still sounds like a nest of baby sparrows waiting to be fed.

Oh well, just have to continue to turn up the music.

After Fiat replaced the Sky Window with a new one I found that the rear roof lining was loose (unstuck?) where it joins the boot seal. I queried this and was informed that it was not a good idea to stick it down as it would be hellava job to remove it again if needs be! Apparently the lining is not stuck in first place. Don't know whether this was all bull or not. It is irritating though as I frequently have to stuff the lining under the seal as I don't want any possibility of water ingressing there.

No noise at all though Phil. Do you have a Sky Window - mine was making all sorts of noises, hence the replacement.

Hi, James Abarth

No, I don't have the Sky Window, but I did notice that the boot seal was like yours and I had to fit it back over the lining as well.

Perhaps they're all like that!

Cheers

Anyone else in the same boat? I think this calls for the judicious application of double-sided carpet tape!
