Broken Paddles

Does anyone know how to fix the selespeed paddles on the steering wheel. Mine have broken off, unfortunately . The copper contact switch inside has gone mising. New paddles cost £90 or so....
I bought the car second-hand and I want to experience "paddle pulling pleasure"

Hmmm, PPP - you can't beat it BUT how did yours break off?

So, £90 all-in, fitted? Or not....

Exclamation Re: Broken Paddles

I got the car with one broken off and missing. When I first cleaned the car a month later , sounds bad, but I was really busy, honest, i found the bits under the seat. I reassembled the parts but it didn't work, so with my cusiosity was piqued, so I pulled off the remaining one to see what was going on. Needless to say, I broke the old one in the process and now both don't work Doh!
Actually, I just broke the catch, but for some reason, with all the bits reattached, it still doesn't work.

Re: Broken Paddles

James, just use the gear lever! Up for higher gears back for lower. I find that turning and trying to change gear via the flappy paddles is near to impossible anyway but you can bump it up with the gear lever and all is well (and cheaper than £90!)
