Angry Nav+ 9.8 CD Changer

Having fitted a Blaupunkt A09 CD changer, part no 7607 769 150, the changer does not play. The head unit is the NAV+ system, which is running 9.8 firmware. Blaupunkt say the cd changer does not work with 'special software'. I suspect that the 9.8 is 'special' and I should have kept the original 8.5 firmware. I want to downgrade to the 'standard' firmware. Any ideas?

Re: Nav+ 9.8 CD Changer

Hi, Thanks for the response. The problem is that, the changer is supposed to be compatible. There are two versions of the changer, as discussed in a previous thread. The incompatible one ends with part number 100. The Fiat part number for my changer is 735 273 184, can anyone verify that the is correct? Thanks for any help.

Re: Nav+ 9.8 CD Changer

To follow up: The changer is recognised by the head unit, disks can be selected, and tracks selected, but it is impossible to play the cd to hear the music. Could this be due to the following:
1. faulty changer
2. incompatible changer
3. security code not entered before device was removed from previous installation.
Does anyone have an idea?

Re: Nav+ 9.8 CD Changer

We've had this before. The only changer that will work is one that is supplied by Fiat. I'm pretty sure the changer will actually have a Fiat logo on it. If it wasn't specifically designed for Fiat it won't work properly. The 9.8 software works perfectly fine with my Fiat A09 changer.....

Re: Nav+ 9.8 CD Changer

Hi jamesannesley!

I had a same problem. I sovled with my wife's Punto.
You need a Blaunpunkt head unit for 2 minutes.
Attach the CD-hanger to the head, switch off the code as in the manual.
And DON'T switch off the radio after that, just pull down the changer.
(it's the trick)

After that it will work with CN+ 9.8.

(the CN+ didn't suppot the code handling)

Regards

Re: Nav+ 9.8 CD Changer

Thanks,
I figured this out myself finally. I didn't have another Blaupunkt head unit so I have sent it off to be reset. Fingers crossed.
