| drivers door electronics have died I've had my Stilo for about 2 months (it's a 5 door 1.6L 2004 Dynamic) and until now its been great, however the drivers side door has just died. All the electronic controls on it, mirrors, door locking & windows have stopped responding. ![]() The fuses seem to be fine, tested them (F47 & F48) and they haven't blown. The drivers door is completely slient - you can hear relays clicking on the passenger door controls when the fuse is removed - & the red LED on the door lock is always on. I think power is getting to the door. It might be related; but the temp. reading on the drivers console is also stuck at '--.- C'. I'm at a loss as to what else to check. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have to contact a service centre on Monday?

Nah mate the temp senda is mounted on the front bumper behind one of the cheapo plastic grilles.

| Re: drivers door electronics have died Slam doors .... no more than the next person ![]() Is it easy to check the switch box/loom? I'm still pretty green, so don't want to make the problem worse. I'ld rather spend the cash on replacing the alloys which have been battered or the sound sysetm, but if I have to get a pro to do it c'est la vie

Hi M8, I had the same fault last year driving around the Highlands. Driver's door dead and the temp reading at zero. Took car to a very efficient Fiat Dealer in Inverness and the techie fixed the problem in 30 secs! He said clue was the air temp reading as the sensor is in the driver's wing mirror. On the hinge end of the door you will see the blue locking connector where the loom goes into the door. Unlock it and pull apart - clean off connectors and refit. (use proper electronic cleaner fluid if really dirty) Hopefully that should get things working again.

Thanks: 38 Trader Rating: (0) Drives: | Re: drivers door electronics have died If the whole door is dead it has lost power, remove the door connector on the a pillar and you will find the connector has opened up. You need to remove the connector and tighten it by pushing the sprung contacts, from memory its a red and black or red and blue wire.
