(T) road angel

Has anyone found a good spot to fit a road angel on a stilo and an ignition switched point to take power from that doesn't mean ripping out too much interior?

I've had my road angel fitted just to the left of the centre of dash so that it's not blocked by the wipers- as for hardwiring it i had an auto elec. do it, it runs along the top right of dash and down the side...

...It only took about an hour for him to fit it, really good job as well

goes into the fusebox area and comes off the main ignition feed with its own fuse and earth's out as well- its such a good job that you can't quite see it all, and can't get a good picture.

So how are you gettin on with your roadangle, would u say its worth the money has it stopped you being flash by a camera or caught by the traffic police! What would you rate it like! Ive read good reviews about it and im really tempted jus dont know anybody with 1?!

Dpends on which country you're in.

Its ok, I'm 90% happy with it, as it doesn't have every speed camera on it and it has lots of changeable settings so you can personalise it quite a bit- its a pain to manually store new locations 'cos you have to be going <4mph at the time you do it, but it also suits the stilo dash really nice, almost standard when looking at it- really why i went for it.

Apparently there are better ones, but they cost more obviously- i paid 310 for mine from www.speedsafe.co.uk if you say you can get it cheaper elsewhere they outdo it by £10, look on www.argos.co.uk and see if they still do it for 320, then phone them as they have to confirm it, next day delivery as well

its worth the money all the while it stops my license being taken away, and it nice to know of things coming up, like the school zone feature makes you look out just that bit more 'cos you know you're in an area where **** could happen, and if you're in unfamilliar territory you've got an advantage- my 3 points i got while on a course for work and i've never been that way before, was on a slip road, booted it to get on the A406 and the camera was just there 'flash' never saw it cos i was concentrating on merging traffic in rush hour

I was tempted to get one last year, and may still do - I know the GPS ones are legal, and will remain so once new legislation gets in, BUT ideally I would still want to use the laser attachment as well.

Halfrauds are doing Road angels for £300 at the moment. I believe any digital camera spotting apperatus is illegal in France, Belgium, Switzerland & Germany I may be wrong.

Isn't pointless to get one with laser detection. If you detect a laser beam, you have already been "hit" by the laser and the police have your speed.
In other words it would be to late to slow down.
It's like when you come around a corner and spots the police standing a few hundred meters ahead, the problem as soon as you see them they see you and have already "shot" you with the laser or radar.
