(T) stilo stereo problem

got a major problem with my stereo .bog standard tape player baupunkt.yesterday i put in in my tape adapter to play my optional portable cd payer ,it was playing fine but suddenly had to restart my engine while the equipment was still turned on ,i got a message n the lcd saying tape paused and now i get no audio whatsoever even when i change it to radio ,i have a feeling it might be a fuse somewhere although it isnt the main fuse for the stereo as i have already checked this ,please somebody help as i loathe to pay my dealer 30 quid for just changing a fuse,i have cheched mute an d everything else i can think of cheers guys and gals

If it was main fuse, surely the player wouldn't even turn on.

Sounds as if the tape mechanism is jammed, and thus won't switch to another audio source. Does the adaptor still fit?

Simple, eject the tape. Switch off the Stereo, turn it on again put in the Tape converter thingy again!

actually this is what happens when you get a flat battery or should i say nearlly dead battery,i got no other indication apart from the usual crap start up messages on the lcd ,cmc if you are reading this please take note ,i have had anew battery fitted and so far i havent had one lfsf message youll know what i mean ,since i had it fitted ,give it a try ,i feel like i have a new car
