Re: Engine Fault Warning!

Hi

Welcome to your first engine fault light

If it only happened tonight, I would let the car settle and see what happens when you turn the key in the morning, as it goes through self-diagnostics.

Re: Engine Fault Warning!

I had an engine warning too a few day back, but it went away of its own accord! Maybe down to the cold weather etc, maybe completely unrelated.

Re: Engine Fault Warning!

I had one twice in the first week and each time was down to a loose connector somewhere, dealer ran a diagnostickythingymebob type thing and it took about half hour to get the car back.

Re: Engine Fault Warning!

I have had numerous faults on both cars - the OBD light on the Ulysse can be a right pain - BUT I have always continued to drive the cars.

Matt, has the light gone off yet?

yes i carried on driving, Fiat said if you feel like there's no difference in the car like throttle response etc then it would be OK to drive.

Re: Engine Fault Warning!

Only once on the M4, having had the OBD light on the Ulysse come on a few good miles back, did the car go into 'recovery' mode - believe me, you will know when it does - I just wanted to get off the motorway
