Desperate need for CN (no plus) update cd!

Hi guys,

I'm new here, but I usually post in the German Stilo forum.

I used the CN+ 9.8 update CD to flash my CN (no plus, no color screen) 7.1 version.

So far, so good, the flashing worked fine, the bar proceeded to 100% and said it completed ok.

After restarting though, it tells me it has version 6.9 and doesn't do anything anymore (screen inverts and then turns off, buttons stay illuminated).

The bootloader still works, but reflashing doesn't change anything...

Does anyone (pretty pretty please) have a CN update cd that is designed to be for the CN without plus and can mail it to me?

That would be awesome and surely be rewarded! (otherwise I can trash my nav...)

Thank you bunches,
Lars.

lars@paulasfreunde.de is my email, btw...

I never realised the CN software different to CN+ software.

Not sure how many on here have JUST the CN - from what I gather, the majority use CN+. I am sure there must be a few owners who have this?

Lars

I also have the Connect Nav version. it is not upgradeable like Connect + and is most definately not compatible with 9.8 + upgrade.
Where it says 6.9 this is manufacturer setting. I only know this as my dealer tried to upgrade mine when i brought my stilo and it did the the same. They replaced my unit for me.
Sorry to bear bad news..

Re: Desperate need for CN (no plus) update cd!

Hi,

in fact it is upgradable to newer versions, you just need the right CD. I got it up and working again, and it now has v7.6 installed (was v7.1 before)

So, yes, it is upgradable, it just needs a different software.

If anyone needs v7.6, just PM me...

Best,

Lars.

I stand corrected if what you say is right, i did not know of an upgrade for the connect Nav. MY dealer has always insisted it was not an upgradeable system like the +version is.
Does it improve on anything that is noticeabley different that you know of..

Still, I think Lars is active! He looked in here 4 weeks ago [I presume you noticed that too] I may try and source it off him.
