| Traction control warning light I've noticed that the traction control warning light on the dash keeps coming on a lot more than it used to. It seems to happen on specific stretches of road and is repeatable, however I never really noticed it before. These stretches of road are straight and reasonaly well surfaced, and it happens in the dry as well as in the wet. I've also noticed a lack of power when the light is flashing, which is what I would expect, as I assume it cuts the power or applies the brakes. Does this sound like something is too sensitive? Can it be adjusted. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

| Re: Traction control warning light What are you driving like at the time that it comes on? It's just that I'm suprised it comes on at all. Mine has never come, even when hoofing it. Granted, mines a 1.8, so the Abarth might be different, but I wouldn't expect it to be activated unless under extreme conditions.

| Re: Traction control warning light Check that your brake lights aren't sticking on, mine had to have a new switch on the brake pedal.

| 5vp3r m0d | Re: Traction control warning light I do find my TC comes on quite often, lol - but not on long dry roads - tends to be more into corners, roundabouts, and when wet. Plus I have a 5 door, so the body roll more pronounced.

| Re: Traction control warning light mine comes on often. only when im booting it off the start to get away quick or wet roundabouts. It went mental when the car spun off on the motorway!

| Re: Traction control warning light
correct skids/understeer/oversteer. This is different to the other stilos that don't have ESP which simply cut engine power to control wheelspin. Paul

| Re: Traction control warning light I guess I usually drive it quite hard. But as I said, it's often just accelerating on a perfectly straight piece of road. And I'm sure it's been happening a lot more recently. Froggie666, I did have the stuck brake problem a while back, and the switch was replaced. I don't think I've got it again now. But I guess maybe I should talk to the dealer, to see if there's anything they can check.

| Re: Traction control warning light had the same problem would cut in on a slight bend and loss of power, if you notice feels a little loose on corners. Answer new steering rack fitted under warrenty! must be a fault of defective component. 02 abarth 2.4 total time in garage 13months 3 days 13000 nightmare miles but when it's okay what a car.
