Curses !! So i finally got me stilo tape deck of ebay for 20 quid (thats postage too),and after much biting of nails and a gnashing of teeth, i took the plunge and bought the Blauupunt 5 cd changer. (Got lots of Advice off here telling me not to as it would need to be recoded etc). that cost me 175 hacks.
Installed it, turned on the radio and Bingo. The golden tones were flowing.
Not even a sniff of a worry.

So to the down side. I have misplaced the code number of the radio, and in the next couple of months i'm having it serviced and will need the code to turn it back on. I wrote back to the bloke i bought it off and hes dumped all info on it !! DOes anyone have any suggestions on what i do...is it a case of letting Fiat reset it and charging me 25 hacks ?

I presume this is NOT the electronic or mechanical code on the CodeCard.

No, I am afraid not. Can't you just go to FIAT with all the docs and let them give you the code? £25 for a reset is a bit too drastic.

all i have is the radio and the old crappy box that Matey sent it to me in ....i didnt even get a booklett or owt However im sure a Radio dealer worth his salt could maybe re do ti for less than 25

Maybe a local audio shop could recode it cheaper?
