(T) Car stereos

ARGH!, i've owned a stilo for like a week now, it's a brand spankin new one, and i love it... it's soooo nice to drive (specially in comparison to my archaic clio) only thing is after only a week the cd player has broken... it's switched itself off and jammed the cd inside. Now it wont play the cd or eject it, and it switches itself on and off at random... nice one eh?
Not the main problem, as i'm sure fiat would be able to fix it easily enough, only problem is, it's gonna be like a week til they can fix it..??? wtf?? also it's a self-made compilation cd, so i reckon they're gonna shuffle and say it's not under warranty (does that sound about right?) what a bummer! And above all that, if i wanna upgrade my sound system i have to pay over the odds for fiat only equipment... great...

Welcome to the forum , albeit with problems....

I doubt the self-made CD would be a problem - after all, some can play MP3s, and these would be on normal CD-Rs.

You dont have to have fiat only stuff, you can put any aftermarket head unit in a stilo no probs

Audio units are sent away for repair (normally 2-3 weeks) you cant expect dealers to have audio units in stock in parts department as too much money.Ask for a 'slave' unit to be put in until yours is returned fixed so at least yo uwill have some sounds.

werid problem i had at the weekend i turned on my car and u no how i checking system well this tym it came up car sercurity system fault.....i was like OH NO! so i turne it off and turned on and it was fine....so weird

another time i had a car fault warning and it had wee spanner next to it so werid but neva had any problems yet.......strange
