Digital Air Con

I have just purchased a Stilo 3dr JTD Dynamic 2004, chrome grey, with skirts, white n black leather and a few other options but i want to get rid of the normal twisty knobs and get a digi air unit in because i like buttons.

is this possible? If, not im not too bothered beause i love the car as it is.

Thanks

Re: Digital Air Con

Hmmm, not too sure, because climate control is based on additional sensors. I wouldn't have thought you could just replace the unit as such....

Re: Digital Air Con

Isnt the only sensor on the unit the sensor thats on the bottom of it in the centre where there is like a grill type looking button- which isnt a button if you know what i mean.

Re: Digital Air Con

there must be more than that. there should be sensors for pollution/circulation, outside temp etc. i dont think it would be possible to change the unit.

Re: Digital Air Con

Ive thought about this, I didnt think it could be done because on climate control systems the air vents are opened and closed by the system, i dont know if the opening if powered by a motor to the same linkages, or at each vent. Aside from that the temp sensors are on all cars for outside temp and the system monitors humidity and zone temp - must be expensive though, if it is do -able, its a 4/500 option u/grade when new isnt it. worth calling my dealer to harrass them even more maybe....hehe
