Re: Engine Undercariage!!!

Grrr.... I hate speed bumps. They have them at work. The speed limit is 10mph but you can't go over them anywhere near that.
You have effectively lowered your car by reducing the tyre wall, and are now having the problem that lowered motors have everywhere. All you can do is capaign to have them removed, avoid them, or remove them yourself!

Smile Re: Engine Undercariage!!!

You just could`nt wait!!! Well under the right front corner is the side section of the undertray now above this is the very weak air con pipe, now this gets hit or moved by the undertray when you go into a drive or speed ramps to fast so as your car is now lower you will be causing the aircon pipe to move and it will break unfortunatlly my old place of work had this a lot with a couple of lowered stilos.

Re: Engine Undercariage!!!

Don't count on it Leon if you hit the 3rd year of the warranty. I just had to pay £218 for that bloody pipe after it cracked! all pipes etc are exlcluded in the third year. If it goes get it dones ASAP so to be within the first 2 years.

Re: Engine Undercariage!!!

this post has got me thinking actually. My aircon packed in about two weeks after the local council put speed bumps on a street round the corner from our house - I now drive the long way round. I'm wondering whether my or the gf has clipped this pipe on the way over
