| Hello there, I would like to ask for help with my Stilo 1,9JTD SW. Had a problems with crazy windscreen wipers (they worked but speed and switching on and off were without control); headlights (no long and fog lights); rear white lights work only after engine stop (if gear lever has reverse position!). My mechanic find that changing the ecu should solve the problems. Old ecu was looking bad with some moisture and corrosion in contact holes. After changed ecu Stilo were worked perfectly. I made probe drive today with Connect+ off- needs security code Heavy rain, windscreen wipers are OK then completely stop to work! Almost kill myself getting car back to mechanic. He is confused, because computer show that all works perfectly. He found power and ground in wire that comes to wiper even they are turned off. Already founded that previous owner tried to connect car alarm or something cutting (wrong maybe?) wire that comes to ecu. Don’t tell me to change mechanic- there aren’t so much quality Fiat services in area. Any ideas what to do now? Thanks advance, Nino Sarajevo Fiat Stilo 1,9JTD 115HP SW 2003, Connect+, Panoramic Sky Roof Nissan Patrol GU 4,2 long 1999 Isuzu Trooper 2,8 long 1993

| Whaddya mean too old? | Re: Stilo Ecu Problem Intermittent wiper operation is often caused by congealed grease in the motor preventing an electrical circuit Have a look here for cures http://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/10918...-sticking.html http://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/12173...en-wipers.html Power is supplied to the wiper motor all the time, that's normal and it's so that the wipers always have power to return them to the parked position. Your mechanic should know that. Once they reach the parked position then a limit switch stops the circuit but power is still supplied there so be careful if you're working in that area. The computer cannot detect a fault with the circuit because the wiper park switch opens the circuit - but so does grease on the contacts!

| Re: Stilo Ecu Problem There isn’t grease in wiper’s motor that receiving wrong order by command lever! For example: first and interval speed at same time that block the motor. There are 2 grounds at the some time. Is this problem in command lever?

| Re: Stilo Ecu Problem check the black plastic earth block on the inner wing near the battery. Headlight and wiper earths come together there. Probably the reverse light switch is in there as well.

| Re: Stilo Ecu Problem All grounds in car were carefully checked and cleaned, problem isn't there. Still mostly suspect about command unit with light/wiper control levers (near driving wheel). There is one suspicious wire that comes from ecu to alarm at my Stilo. Compared with other Stilo same wire makes ground. Is it possible to get somewhere wiring diagram that show connections between ecu and other components?
