New Alloys

just bought a set of 17" claws from ebay. the only half decent tyres i can get fitted locally at a reasonable price are goodyear eagle F1. does anyone have any experience of these on the stilo.

ps: stilo boy, there is now a set of 16" 6 spoke alloys and tyres that are 1 month old, sitting across the river from you. go on you know you want them.

Re: New Alloys

Ah, they were in my watch list if I recall - nice choice of alloys

No idea about the F1s though, sorry.

Re: New Alloys

Don't have any experience on a Stilo but had Goodyear Eagles on a Punto. They were a good tyre, quiet, grippy good in the wet. I will probably change to them when the dunlops on my Stilo are worn out

Re: New Alloys

thanks SHC it was the quiet bit i was interested in as big tyres like that tend to kick up a bit of road noise.

Re: New Alloys

The Goodyears were recommended to me, I was looking specifically for quiet tyres as the Punto had the worst road noise of any car I've ever had. They did the job very well.

Re: New Alloys

I'm using Eagle Ventura's at the moment. As of yet I have never managed to slide them and the ABS has only activated once. In other words they stick like glue.

Re: New Alloys

I ordered the stilo 17'' alloys as a factory option and they were all fitted with goodyear F1 eagles. I've run them on the car for over a year and had no problems. They also look quite sporting with there directional arrow shaped tread.
