That's what I have and you see them on eBay now and again. You can also compile your own audio CDs or better still buy the MP3 version and then you can store a huge number of tracts on each CD.

That leaves the glove box for other uses

Excellent, thank you. I shall keep 'em peeled for one.

BTW, I am really pleased with my purchase, the car is excellent and in fantastic condition. The missus can't believe a diesel estate can fly like this one does - outperforms our Touran TDi quite comprehensively in that regard!

Re: Where can I get a CD changer?

Would an IDC-A09 CD Changer taken out of a 2001 Punto be compatible with my factory fit Rad/Cass head unit in my Stilo?

I would guess so but just wanted to check!

Thanks. This is becoming quite an issue - I think as soon as i see a single CD OEM head unit form a Stilo on ebay, I'll snap it up.

There's a changer on ebay out of a Stilo at the moment:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=003

Any idea if i'd be OK with this one, hooking it up to a factory fit Rad/Cass head unit in a 2005 Multiwagon?

Re: Where can I get a CD changer?

If you check the seller's "feedback as a buyer", it would appear that he only bought this CD changer 7 weeks ago (for £77) from someone else on eBay.

That always make me suspicious that the current seller has bought an item that doesn't work so is trying to sell it on again.

Dave.

Eek. Well spotted. I'll avoid that one then!

The search for the holy grail continues.

Re: Where can I get a CD changer?

Right then. Are these units any good, and would it swap directly with my factory rad/cass head unit in my 2005 1.9JTD Multiwagon Active?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=290252079814

Would my on-board computer need to be re-programmed or some such? Would I need an extra antenna for the sat nav feature?

Please excuse the questions of a dullard, I am a total beginner when it comes to changing car stereos!

Any advice on this unit would be gratefully received as I've never seen one before and am new to Stilo ownership (9 days now and nothing's gone wrong!).

Major grief - avoid

You'd be better off going for a 3rd party CD/radio (if you must)

I'm looking for a changer so that I can use cd's when I don't have my ipod around. If you want pm m your details and how much you want for it, as for the inlay we can swap i'll give my plain one to replace your's so that it looks neat and I get one ready to go

I'll take your word for it and avoid.

Now seriously considering just getting an MP3 player and one of those casette adapter thingies. Yes, I'm luddite enough not to have an MP3 player at all!

If you're that desperate then why not not consider this Kenwood

Re: Where can I get a CD changer?

Yep, might well go with something like that. Do these after market units just slip into a pre-existing cage in the dash (i.e. the one that holds the factory unit in place), or do you need to get something extra to hold it in place, as it seems to me it would be floating in the ether!

I have seen a fascia on ebay which has a storage slot below the hole for the head unit, think I'd prefer the look of that and I'll go for it if I can't find a proper FIAT CD head unit in the next few weeks or so.

Re: Where can I get a CD changer?

Pretty sure that's all you need (otherwise send it back )

Don't overlook scrapyards. Might be worth posting some requests or just phoning around.

Tried breakeryard.com, parts gateway and 247spares already, no joy.

Ho hum.
