| hi. i started my car up today to find the alternator light come on. ive looked under the bonnet and there is a belt that has come off that leads from the engine and drives the alternator belt. my air conditioning compressor unit has come away from its fixing and was thinking this had stopped the alternator belt from moving, hence the other belt coming off and the alternator belt being well worn and the light coming on. can anyone help please, its under warrantee as it states in the hand book i got from auto plannet back in april. dan

| one with the dark side | Re: alternator failure and air conditioning compressor unit If its got a warranty, then best thing to do is phone the dealer you purchased it from and ask what to do next. If you have a warranty booklet etc have a look if it says what to do next also. You may have to get it towed to a garage / fiat dealer asap to get the work done / diagnosed correctly. | ||
