Temperature Probe

Does anybody know where the probe is for the external temperature readouts you get in the cabin? Got my car back yesterday after being in the garage for the last 3 weeks and there is only the centigrade symbol showing but no number. Am assuming it may be in the front bumber area, as that was removed.
