Alarm Siren Position

Alarm siren is not working and the fault is showing on the dash console on start up (Alarm Failure return to stealers). Car does not beep on locking/unlocking anymore (used to) and when you leave the window down then break the infa red field the indicators flash but no siren

1. Any idea where the siren is located on my Abarth.
2. Can you do a reset etc.
3. Is the siren seperate or all one unit.

Aw well had 2 weeks motoring without alarms suppose thats good !!

Re: Alarm Siren Position

Access is dead easy once you remove the scuttle cover.

Examiner has quite a few options for testing so you might want to get it checked out first although it does sound like a defective siren to me.

Re: Alarm Siren Position

It's the black cover that hides the wiper motor & mechanism.

To remove:
  1. remove both wiper arms (be warned this can be VERY difficult)
  2. remove 3 plastic clips at front (under bonnet at rear) and then remove scuttle cover (also a bit tricky)
You might want to search on this to get a few more tips. The scuttle cover is quite tricky to replace and I'd recommend taking very careful note of how it's fitted before you remove it (assuming it's never been removed before). Make sure you get some replacement clips from your dealer as the originals nearly always snap.
