What Tools!!!!!

Right then as a newbie to the forum and a stilo owner for a year, I now know about the star bit for the sump plug and now tonight reading about needing a special tool for the rear brakes on the stilo and does this include the front brakes as well???

So WHAT else does one NEED to buy for the home servicing of our Stilos.

Apart from a first aid kit

I have quite a tool kit and are quite handy with a spanner!!

Thanks.

Re: What Tools!!!!!

Torque wrench would be handy, good quality jack and stands and a large crate of beer to de-stress after doing any work, LOL

Re: What Tools!!!!!

I would say an allan key works better in the sump plug, the star one tend to slip. The front brakes are a doddle, undo the one bolt at the bottom and lift the caliper up to take the pads out. The rear brakes, don't touch with a barge pole, they are a real pig and in the long run it will be cheaper to take em to local garage. You run the risk of killing the calipers at £80 each. For about thifty quid you'll get the pads done and is a lot less hassle.
