(T) Air Con + Parcel Shelf

I've just got back from the Med and it's even hotter here than it was there! Used the air con for the first time in anger - it feels a bit asthmatic. Is this usual on Stilos? The fans aren't too strong anyway. I have to put it on recirc for the a/c to have any effect at all really. It had 72k service recently so I should really check if it was topped up then. I'm just wondering if this is the norm for Stilos anyway.

Also I realised recently that one of the retaining clips my parcel shelf slides in to is missing. This is making it rattle when in motion. It seems to be a pop-out piece, because I was worried for a moment that all that trim would need to be replaced. Do Fiat/anyone else stock these?

Living in greece with alot of heat in the summer i noticed that if not every summer at least for sure every other summer you have to top up with air con gas. Also at least every year changing of the air pollen filter so it doesnt clog up and keep the fan blasting more. THe aircon is fine in my opinion.

Hi you probably have a blocked pollen filter, replace or as I did just take the old one out.
I found the fan very powerful once the pollen filter was gone.
Its under the dash drivers side up beside the heater.

Don't ever leave it out if you have aircon. Your aircon will clog up with dirt very quickly, not work and smell bad, requiring a lot of work to dismantle and clean it out. If you do not have aircon, then it should just blow all the dust/ road crap straight through into your face.

I can only speak from experience.
145,000 miles pollen filter removed at 50,000 air con works fine no smells, In fact apart from rear axle bushes and the usual service items I haven’t spent a penny on repairs brilliant car.

Thanks for the help guys - a/c seems a bit better last few days, maybe it just needed a good run.

Any ideas on the parcel shelf bracket?

It does need using regularly to keep the inners lubricated.
