Fit abarth clocks etc into 1.6

is it possible to fit the abarth tft display ( speedo) etc into the 1.6 stilo without to much work or would it require a lot of rewiring??

rich (rroope) has done this before, didnt require a lot of work, its a straight plug and play jobbie. although he did hav to fiddle with the needles a bit to fit the dials for his 1.8. and possibly your rev and speedo would be out.
its something i have also been thinking of.

and ohh, you need a connect+ nav to set time, date, etc...

Re: Fit abarth clocks etc into 1.6

Shaun,

It'll work when the unit is new, however there are reports that it won't work when it has already been proxi-aligned (I got my dash brand new, but this one will be looking for ESP, rain sensors, parking sensors etc) . . . a few greek/italian people I spoke to when I did mine said they had a "Loose Connection" fault (as there are two connectors on the Abarth) and other faults that a proxi-alignment DID NOT cure.

Oh, and without the Sat Nav it's kinda pointless anyway, doesn't do anything special except display the same information in a different way.

One assumes at over £600 the unit you're looking at is used? Don't forget, you can't edit the mileage down either!

Not really anything to do with this thread though, is it? Not being funny, but plugging the fact you have a new Stilo in a random thread isn't fair on Shaun, he wanted an answer about fitting a new dash, not about your car purchase! If you wanted to tell us you should have posted a new thread in the Stilo section . . .

Hence moved to the Stilo section under its own thread, where it's proved to be more successful in its own right.
