Opinion needed

Hey all, I'm new to this forum, and admittedly fairly new to modding. I did a few bits on my old Mk1 Punto, but never had the bottle or cash to go all the way. So I'd like your opinion on this kit. It's the Kyros from Ibher:

http://www.stxstyling.co.uk/StxStyli....php?pnum=1671

I'd appreciate all input, and if anyone knows of know issues with Ibher kits, I'd love to hear them too.

Cheers

Cool Re: Opinion needed

This is actually my favourite front for the stilo and they are a very reputable company so you shouldnt have any problem with it make sure you get a good body shop to do the work as well ..good luck and lets see some pics when the job is completed

Re: Opinion needed

Will do buddy, it's a long road though. Gotta get some new rims first, plus I'm thinking of sticking either Brembo or EBC discs on the front too. The stock bumpers are better than most cars anyway, so it's way down the list. But if I start looking now, I'll know for sure what I want when I get to it!

Not every Stilo buyer could afford the extra doors, y'know.

By mounting a fire extinguisher in front of my passenger's seat, I've made it impossible to move the seat forward, thus making life even more unpleasant for the rear seat passengers...

And Chris - about the kit... I think it's very clever! I'm not generally a fan of bodykits (and that opinion still stands) but in this case, the lines tie in well with the lines of the Stilo - particularly at the rear where the turned-down line at the end of the side panel is continued nicely into the bumper. I could have sworn my exhaust was on the other side and considerably more subtle, but with a less-obvious exhaust, I think that rear valance would be very satisfactory. The nose looks a little long but again the lines are nice extensions to the Stilo and the gaping air intakes look correct (unlike this type of design when applied to older cars, which just looks ) And the side-skirts - well, they look a lot like the standard 'Abarth' items, so ...

Incidentally I'd spend my money on springs, lowering, tyres, and all sorts of other things before I bought a bodykit. Just my $0.02...

Re: Opinion needed

I have to disagree, my personal opinion is that the 5dr stilos are, for want of a better word, ugly! however, with the right kit...

Re: Opinion needed

Not so keen on the wind deflectors on the front windows they look like theyve been ripped of a late 80's mitsu shogun (you know youve all seen them ) but the kit does like quite nice tho,

I couldn't agree more Alex

I mean there are far easier ways of making your motor slower than having to resort to adding extra weight

Re: Opinion needed

I had another though on the subject of body styling. It's in another thread in the styling section. Would appreciate all input.

And I'd never noticed tjose wind deflectors, or, as I call them, 'Fag bouncer back inners and land in your lap and burn you jeans'. I had a Corrolla as my duty car while I was stationed in Cyprus a couple of years back and it was fitted with those deflectors. Put a chuffing great hole ion my fave T-Shirt...not to mention my BACK!
