painting spoiler and skirts

Right now my cd player is in, my skirts and spoiler have just turned up in the post, wahooo!!

I've got a garage I can use to do the painting but cant decide if I should take it down the bodyshop to get them sprayed or if I should try them myself, anyone got any advice on what I should do?

If you've done it yourself do you have any tips and if you paid a sprayshop how much did it cost?

thanks

Re: painting spoiler and skirts

i would use a bodyshop, you can't get the gloss shine that the pro's get from a can - it's ok for small areas like bumper inserts etc

you could always fit the bits yourself to save some money - i'm doing my skirts soon, they are all painted and ready to fit

2008 ? could be GPS or MCS

Good advice. I will ask Midland Fiat for a price to code my bump-strips tomorrow, They are fitting my springs. CG, where abouts are you in WM?

Re: painting spoiler and skirts

CG, thanks for the advice, thats what I was thinking about doing...getting them done by a pro and fitting them myself.....going to see what it looks like when done and then decide if I want the bump strips done later (would be happy to give them a go myself though).

Now I need to make a few calls to get some prices for spraying...anyone got any idea what kinda prices I should be execting to be quoted? I will let you know how much my quotes are later.

Cheers!

PNL paid about £150 for a top job. Seems a good price to me.

It was £160 just for the rub strips but the total cost of the spraying including rub strips and fitting the body kit was £1130 and that also included a total respray of the front

It's so not fair, just a glimpse? Even with poor lighting it will look good.
