re: How to paint calipers

the trouble i have found with painting callipers with hammerrite is when the brakes get used and get hot they soften the paint then all the dust sticks to the callipers and is hard to get off

this isnt been done on a fiat but previous cars ive owned

just my two pence worth

have to say the blue does look spot on

re: How to paint calipers

You went searching deep for this thread eh Miggs?

Have to agree that Kor's calipers look fantastic in that deep metalic blue. Makes me want to paint mine but white calipers would look daft!

re: How to paint calipers

I think I need to give my car a clean. It used to be the cleanest car in the south but I have only cleaned it once this winter Those pictures reminded me how nice it can look and thats before the kit went on and the wheels

re: How to paint calipers

I painted the calipers on my motor red the other day and they have come up great, I found this thread after I painted them but I did them more or less the same way as the advice on this thread they came up really good.

Cool re: How to paint calipers

Hammerite smooth is Ok alex its the only paint Ive ever used just make sure you give the calipers a good wire brushing and dont try and use a big brush for all places get some smaller ones to.Dont also do it on very hot or cold days and dont try to brush it out to much dont keep going over the same places or the finnish becomes on the right day in the correct temp it goes on well Oh and dont forget to buy some thinners also .
