Re: Few Prices Required

I didn't think the rear bumper was meshed as standard?

Adam - I'm in Essex, and most lads buy an easily modifiable vehicle, or a pre-modded one. Namely Fiesta Zetec S!

Ozmosis - but what would the induction kit do to the MPG - the remap pushes it up a tad (good), and I'm trying to save dosh. Then again, it's always handy to know the info!

Re: Few Prices Required

Or are you just telling me it's going to improve it How loud is it - I assume if people at the R/R would have this done already and wouldn't mind revving for me!

Forgot to add - I'm looking at a 1.9 JTD!

Modding a car is without question a huge money pit (ask Phil - PNL)

The really clever thing to do is buy a motor that already has all the extras you want (factory fit options are always worth more than after-markets options) as some poor sod has already paid for them.

I also tend to agree that many bodywork modifications will often devalue a car (that's assuming the owners even bothered).

Re: Few Prices Required

That's not too bad - will have to wait and hear some without the induction kit aswell - did s/he have a different exhaust also?

I agree that you won't reclaim money spent on mods - unless you get a boyracer who is willing to pay for the car and the extras. I rebuilt my GTi and sold it for pennies in the end

Edit: PNL - I signed up there earlier today actually!!

Re: Few Prices Required

TBH, can't understand why you'd be bothered what the JTD sounds like when under power - it's a wonderful note anyway.

It doesn't sound anything like as good when idling at traffic lights but you can always resort to turning on the radio and opening the sky-roof

Re: Few Prices Required

Well, it's more of a worry about an overly loud exhaust. You used to hear me coming a mile away! I'd like to be a little more subtle..but I'm pretty sure most things are more subtle than the old Beeza lol.

That DK place for the bodykit is a eBay shop isn't it? Doesn't have Stilo parts in - I'll drop them an email and see what they say, then post here incase anyone else could benefit from the info.
