How much should I pay for New Stilo Alloys

Hi guys,

Just wanted some advice.

I have a '52 Abarth and the original alloys are corroding. I was thinking of buying some original FIAT replacements, like for like.

Firstly I wanted to know what should I look at paying for a set of new rims?

Secondly if I chose to refurnish them are there different types of treatments? I have heard of powder coating, is this different to anything else?

Thanks in advance
JD

A new set from Fiat is gonna cost about £600 for 4 but a refurb wil only be about £50 a wheel. I got quoted £265 for a full refurb and a change of colour from a company in Birmingham. I can't think of any other processes other than powder coating.

Powder coating is what you want. Pay between £20 and £50 per wheel for a full refurb with machining of any kerbing. Think there are a few posts of wheels that have been done.

i no this is a long shot but have you tried claiming for corrosion under warranty?

the bloke we sold my dads 02 plate stilo to managed to claim a new set of wheels from Fiat due to a couple of them corroding. this was only in november...

I had my wheels powdercoated with a black chrome finish , cost a total of £280 because it is a specialised finish

Thanks for all your.

I going to go for a new set off ebay for £200 which is about what I would expect to pay for refurnish.
