"Been there and done that" as they say

If you really want to lower it then make sure you go for Eibachs -30mm rather than cheap springs.

I'd also up-rate the dampers on the front at least.

I used cheap Pi springs which was a big mistake (nearly 40mm drop) even if the car did look better

It was pure joy to get back to standard springs afterwards - could actually push it through those fast curves again

Re: should I?? or shouldn't I??

Two brief comments:

1) As an alternative to lowering which preserves a half-decent ride quality but improves handling, how about fitting uprated dampers to standard springs? I've done this with KONI Sport Adjustables and am very pleased with the result.

2) If you do change your springs, don't bother with spring compressors. Take your struts to a garage and ask them to do it (even they will struggle unless they have a commercial press). The Stilo standard front springs take a lot of compressing and most DIY compressors can't 'squash' the springs enough to free up the top mount to allow them to be removed from the strut...

Re: should I?? or shouldn't I??

Steely,
I'd echo what has already been said, LOWER IT LOWER IT LOWER IT, LOL
but........... if you going to do it, do it properly and fit Eibach Spirngs with matching struts/shocks.
I fitted Eibach springs with Boge shocks and although the shocks are OK, i think the overal handling could be better with eibach shocks.

So did you change your rear dampers or only the fronts?

Changing back to standard springs is a great education is seeing just how effective the oem dampers are when matched to the correct springs.

After 6 mths of driving lowered (and then reverting to standard) the effect is quite amazing as you can actually feel the suspension soaking up every bump instead of trying to bounce

You soon get used to it though and that's a big problem with mods as you can also get used to something being wrong

PI's no good then? My mate swears by them on his Coupe?
