re-badging my stilo

Maybe i am going against the grain in wanting to put the 'fiat' and 'stilo' badges back on my car. Whoever i bought it off had decided to take them off but i don't like my car being stripped of its identity! It looks really bare on the boot. I'm after the round blue fiat boot badge ..does anyone know if this comes in a self adhesive version or will it be a DIY job. Likewise with the 'stilo' badge....also after an abarth rear badge like on the abarth model to match with the abarth badges on the side skirts.

has anyone else rebadged their stilo?

Re: re-badging my stilo

yea

the stilo badges is seperate characters and self adhesive so theyre easy

old stilos had the fiat paralelagram fiat badges which were seperate and self adhesive. the new ones now have a centred round badge

i dont know if this is like the bonnet badge which has guide pins and a threaded bit to hold in place meaning it would be a DIY but if the shell if the exact same i doubt theyve drilled holes in it to fit the new style badge, you can pick them and the abarth badges on ebay easyily enough

Re: re-badging my stilo

An interesting point, someone wanting to return it to standard. I know when I am looking for a car anything other than standard would put me off. These Stilo's are hard enough to shift but with these mods it's worse.

Try e-bay or ask one of the lads on here if they will let you have theirs.

Re: re-badging my stilo

I tend to take the view that rare cars are best kept original but did change my rear Fiat badge when it started to look a little tatty (check my Gallery)

Re: re-badging my stilo

thanks guys...yes i am kind of restoring my stilo at the moment....i am only using genuine fiat parts....slightly deviating from the bog standard level of trim by having already fitted the schumacher bumper. The schumacher spoiler will be fitted on tuesday. it already had abarth side skirts when i bought it....i guess it could be argued that these are modifications but i dont think the car will lose it identity with the subtlty of the changes and bearing in mind that it is all genuine fiat....not sure what you think.

I dont plan to shift my motor...epecially not as i picked it up so cheap....i have always wanted a 3 door stilo and will keep it until the end as its suits my needs. I had a civic type-r for a while which was good fun to drive but lacked the character of the stilo! i was about to buy a stilo abarth before i bought my civic but couldnt bear to spend so much money on a fiat what with the hurrendous depreciation etc...i'm glad i have done it this way round though as i appreciate having my stilo even more now..typical rattly Fiat interior but still my favourite car i have owned!

Re: re-badging my stilo

dont you dare nick my idea

when i first pulled the stilo badge of, i was going to just attach it to the top of my tv or something daft, but then i had a thought. i could get free paint from work and paint it in the italian flag colours, make it stand out more

Does anyone have a silver "stilo" badge that they would be willing to sell/donate to me? Thanks
