What you'll need:
  • ratchet
  • torx bits
  • extension
  • flexi extension
first thing to do is find a new hinge, there hard to find in scrappers because they're mostly all broken. and in dealers there £80....i eventually found one in a scrapper for £20....

then get the old one out...
take the flocked lining in the top glove box out, couple o screws about, easy to find....

get the old hinge out, i tried to undo all the screws, there are 5 in total, 3 in the middle and one on each "hinge" at each end...

i believe they are a torx bit number 30...but ill check and edit accordingly...
put the torx bit on the flexi extension then the extension on the end of that then the ratchet on the end of that (simple eh?)

undo what you can get at, it a TIGHT squeeze u WILL slice and dice your hands...

i undid two screws (top right and middle one, then i ripped out the rest of the hinge and it was much easier to get the other screws out...

i then took a weeks break to let my hands heel (no jokes....)

then i took a few weeks for exams and working up courage, and i decided to try and fit the new one....

offer it up in the "open" orientation...push pull and tug it up into the dash...

you'll find it has allot of movement in it, push it all the way up and the screw holes in the hinge will line up with the holes in the back of the dash.

start with the screw at the top right, put it in finger tight, then get your extended flexi socket bit thing and do it up (will take several attempts and lots of time)

then do the screw right in the middle, same as before, then the top left....thats all i put in cos i found th others FAR to awkward...but it hold just fine......

any Q's or suggestions for the guide, post up and ill fix it...
