2015 plate spotted in Hitchin town centre Tuesday evening as I was on my way to watch Hitchin Town v Norwich City. A supporter?

Yes, that was me! I resisted the temptation to fly my NCFC flag from the aerial, but it was an unusual experience to be driving to a game where both sets of supporters would be wondering whether the car's colour reflected the sporting allegiance of the owner!

(For the uninitiated, Norwich City and Hitchin Town both play in yellow & green, and share the nickname The Canaries. Imitation is, of course, the sincerest form of flattery :D - but which club was there first? Answers on a postcard, please...)

So, Panda convertee, are you a Norwich Canary or a Hitchin Canary? (Not that it matters greatly, as both are equally awesome IMHO)

Cracking night out in Hitchin - ace pub beforehand (the Half Moon - real ale and tapas!), great little ground, a wonderfully friendly atmosphere, and a 10-0 victory! Bring it on, Premier League!

Ah just posted a reply in another forum before I saw your reply. Yes am NCFC for my sins. It was a great evening, lovely little ground I thought too. Oh and you chose the best pub in Hitchin to try out! Am still agonising over whether to replace my reliable but dull Yaris with a 4x4, cross or trekking.....

Very happy with the Cross so far, although not convinced it's worth the extra over a 4x4 tbh (apart from the fact that you can't get a 4x4 in yellow :D). The fuel consumption of the TA is rubbish, and I'm not (yet) confident of its long-term reliability, but it has character in droves, and is fun to punt around. Well worth a closer look, but make sure you have a decent test-drive, as it's a bit of a marmite car (and not just for its looks!)

Thanks for your honest assessment. I bought the first mark Yaris purely because I was fed up with unreliable cars. Am now on my second, later seriesYaris which, although I don't like it as much as the original model, still consistently returns 45mpg regardless of road conditions and is supported by dealers who do provide a good service. Despite this there is something about the panda 4x4 that I really like! Will take your advice and have a serious test drive. Shame the 4x4 doesn't come in yellow though - the more 'lucky cars' there are next season the better I think! OTBC..
