| Uno dizzy in X1/9?.... Hi all!, I read somewhere that a Fiat Uno dizzy with electronic ign would fit a (points)X19, you would also need the coil, nessesary wiring and a vacuum connection for the vac adv. Apparently the X19 dizzy cap fits the Uno dizzy? Can anyone confirm this and post any details of conversion, as i would like do away with the points and condenser setup badly! Plus my dizzy's a bit worn anyway. THANX. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

| The expression " Dizzy " is indeed a slang term meaning a distributor. I am not fully familiar with the X19 but understand that this conversion is well known amongst X19 owners. I am told however, that although the Uno electronic distributor assy is a simple swap with the original, there needs to be a " dent " made or a hole cut, in the bulkhead to clear the distributor cap. Hope this helps. Pete.

I have problems enough with the norwegian engine words, so a british slang is even more difficult than straigh forward english. I usually look up the english frases, but "dizzy"... Hehe, I seriosly thought i was a model version, or that your car was dizzying from side to side when you turned left and right when driving. Which my Uno did before I changed springs. So - no I wasn“t kidding.:D Morten.
