| Spider starting problem I have a 1981 fiat spider. Fuel injection. It was in storage for two years------but started right up. It ran great for a week or so and then failed to start. The fuel filter was clogged-----gas tank was a little rusty. Tank was cleaned, new filter was installed. but it still won't start-----ideas? suggestions?

| Re: Spider starting problem I have the same problem. I just got my 82 Spider. The P.O. had it running last week, but now it won't start. Runs on starter fluid (ether), but not without. GW

| Re: Spider starting problem You guys need to get a Fuel Injection Diagnosis manual (available from several vendors). Both sound like fuel delivery problems: fuel pump, bad/stuck/clogged injectors etc.

| Re: Spider starting problem Got my fuel pump out today and it is messed up... Couldn't pump a river down a mountain. OEM replacement or Carter?
