Turbo oil return line leak

I just bought a pretty nice '81 2000 Spider Turbo. It has a few needs. Oil is leaking from where the oil return line bolts to the bottom of the turbo. It drips on the exhaust pipe right behind where it joins to the turbo. When the car gets hot it smokes a lot from the oil burning off the pipe.

Can anyone give me a tip about how to reach those bolts on the bottom of the turbo? I can't reach them from the top, even with the heat shield and intake hoses removed. It looks like the exhaust pipe is in the way from the bottom. The only way I can see to reach those bolts is to disconnect the exhaust pipe from the turbo. I really don't wan to do that unless I have to. Has anyone else had this problem?
