81 124 spider

just was given a 81 spider, needs some restoration. the motor has 75,000 and the tranny works fine. needs rust repair. My question is the front end feels sloopy. is there anything special i should look at that goes wrong with the front end. What else sould i look at that is common to go wrong with. who reliable are the motors. I am a porsche man, i have a worked 930 but got the fiat to go back and forth the work about 50 round trip a day. thanks John
