1976 spyder starter question

The starter on my 1976 Fiat 124 spyder is fried. Its about $170 American new.
Well I have an 1981 Fiat 2000 spyder and was wondering if I could use that starter.

So basicly my question is, Can you put a 1981 2000 spyder starter on a 1976 124 spyder?
